Willie Gibson III of Aledo, age 8, recently won gold medals in the 200 and 400-meter dashes at the Texas Amateur Athletic Federation Games of Texas in Brownsville. He posted his fastest times ever with a 30.81 seconds in the 200 and 1 minute, 09.83 seconds in the 400.
