Willow Park City Council member Place 2 Tyler VanSant resigned this week, and the city council will accept his resignation at the March 8 regular city council meeting.
“It was an honor and privilege to serve my community as a council member these past 18 months,” VanSant said. “I know our community is undoubtedly in good hands with our mayor, council, and staff.”
VanSant has been directed by the United States Air Force to return to active duty, and as such cannot hold an elected office. He was appointed to the city council in October of 2020. During his tenure, the city completed the connection to Fort Worth water, constructed Cross Timbers Park, and finalized plans for the city’s new wastewater treatment.
