Trustees back in session

The Aledo ISD Board of Trustees welcomed a new Bearcat Leadership Team member to the district during the Aug. 17 meeting.

Kristin Bundy began her new role as assistant principal of Annetta Elementary School in May and said she hopes to “be here to serve our students and families and teachers in the best capacity that I can and make the educational experience as best as it can be for all stakeholders.”

Bundy has a wealth of experience working for elementary and intermediate schools. This past year, she was an assistant principal of Marilyn Miller Language Academy in Lake Worth ISD while also serving as assistant principal at Lucyle Collins Middle School. Previously, Bundy worked at Tannahill Intermediate School in White Settlement ISD, serving as a behavior specialist, teacher, and admin intern. She also was an instructional specialist at the language academy.

“We've had a great first week, and I just look forward to being a part of this school system and continuing to grow and help others grow throughout my time here,” Bundy said.

In other action, the board:

• Approved the purchase of technology annual license and warranty renewals for the 2026-27 school year for $522,249.27;
• Approved Board Policy Update 127, which includes nine local policy changes. “These are just a continuation of cleanups from the 89th legislative session,” Kim Raymond, deputy superintendent, said.

The Board of Trustees will meet again at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22.
