Supporting Nathan Crummel

Willow Park is growing rapidly with new developments appearing almost daily. While many residents wish growth could slow, state law prevents it. Our City Council has responsibly used the increased tax revenues from these developments to improve existing neighborhoods. Since 2017, new growth has funded the rebuilding of miles of crumbling roads in older areas and the replacement of failing water infrastructure—all without raising taxes. The city has executed these projects efficiently, and Squaw Creek West—Marcy Galle’s own neighborhood—was next in line.

In 2025, the city prioritized Squaw Creek West, investing $300,000 in studies and engineering to rebuild roads, improve drainage, and replace leaky water lines. In the spirit of full transparency, a project website was launched, town halls and public hearings were held. The project was expected to finish in 12-14 months and Council was ready to issue debt, without raising taxes, and begin construction this year. Neither Marcy nor her neighbors voiced any opposition at the time.

Then Marcy Galle submitted a petition with 296 signatures that halted the project. A review of registered voters showed that only 11 of her Squaw Creek West neighbors signed it. The remaining signatures came from unaffected parts of town, with 47% living on brand-new paved roads in newer developments. (link to documents provided) Despite living in Squaw Creek West, Marcy demanded the project go on a general ballot.

As a result, improvements to Squaw Creek West now face a likely-failing city-wide vote. When it fails, by law, the city cannot revisit the project for at least three years. Taxpayers will lose the $300,000 already spent, water loss will continue, and property values in Squaw Creek West will suffer. Worst of all, Marcy and her supporters have shown they are willing to use voters from new developments to block infrastructure improvements in older neighborhoods.

If Marcy is willing to work this hard against her neighbors by gathering 280 signatures from newer parts of town, imagine the damage she could do on council. Willow Park cannot afford Marcy Galle and we don't have time for political stunts. Vote next week for incumbent Nathan Crummel. We deserve steady, accountable leadership that serves the entire community—especially our older neighborhoods. Keep Willow Park moving forward.
