Satterfield, the No. 3 seed, began the tournament by winning 6-0, 6-1. She then went on to overwhelm her next foe 6-0, 6-0.
In the semifinals, she met defending state champion Hope Willis from Abilene Wylie and gave the eventual regional champion her toughest test of the tournament, only to lose 6-3, 6-2.
In all, Aledo had 11 players qualify for the regional tournament.
Vivian Beeby won her first round match in girls singles, 6-4, 6-2. She then lost to No. 2 seed Julia Lightner of Argyle 6-0, 6-0, who went on to qualify for state.

The mixed doubles team of Ben Kurth and Sydney Byrd took their first round opponent the distance before falling 5-7, 6-2, 6-4.

In boys doubles, Alex Vozeh and Casen Freeland played one of the day’s most exciting matches of the day before falling in the first round, 5-7, 6-3, 7-5.
“All of our players performed very well in Lubbock. Although their backs were against the wall in most cases, they showed true grit and toughness, playing at a high level,” McCoy said. “It is very satisfying, regardless of the outcomes, to know that our players never gave up and played at their best at the end of the season. I am so proud of all of them!”
The 5A State Tennis tournament will be played on May 7-8 in San Antonio at Northside Tennis Center.
