The Aledo varsity tennis team kicked off its spring season on Feb. 15 with a tournament hosted by Timber Creek High School, and participated in the Fifth Annual Cowtown Classic on Feb. 23-24.
In the spring, team members compete as individuals in either singles or doubles categories, as opposed to team tennis in the fall. Weekly tournaments can be attended by any school and are not restricted to just 5A competitors.
The District 5-5A Tournament will be held in April. The spring season shows a lot of promise as Aledo has already earned seven medals in the first two tournaments.
