The Parker County Appraisal District reminds local taxpayers that property tax payments must be received or postmarked by Jan. 31 to avoid penalties and interest. Under Texas law, property taxes become delinquent on Feb. 1. If Jan. 31 falls on a weekend or legal holiday, the deadline moves to the next business day.
When mailing payments, timeliness is generally determined by the postmark date, so taxpayers are encouraged to mail payments early or use a delivery method with tracking or electronic confirmation. The Parker County Appraisal District (PCAD) does not control USPS delivery times.
