Mansfield Tournament

The Aledo Ladycats (12-2) won all six games they played en route to the championship of the Mansfield Tournament this past weekend. The Ladycats outscored their opponents 59-12.

They followed that tourney championship by returning home and capturing a thrilling 4-3 win over Frisco Lone Star on Tuesday, Feb. 27 as Jordyn Edington hit a solo walk-off home run in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Brenlee Gonzales surrendered just one earned run with 10 strikeouts and a walk.

Aledo is playing in the Mesquite Tournament this weekend and opens District 5-5A play at Wichita Falls Rider on Tuesday, March 5 at 6:30 p.m.
