Looking for Forever Homes

Friends of the Animal Shelter ask for adoptive families

Posted

You'll never find a more loyal and faithful friend than a dog.

But having a dog around has other advantages as well. A recent study has shown that petting a dog  increases brain activity in your prefrontal cortex — the part of the brain that  plays a role in personal development and cognitive ability.

The good news is that are are many dogs available — right now — for adoption. They have been in the loving hands of foster families, and are looking for forever homes.

Here are some possibilities for your future best friend:

Shena

Shena is seven years old and super affectionate. She is good with cats and dogs, and is looking for a devoted human companion. This gorgeous gal is ready for adoption or fostering.

Kyle

Kyle loves to fetch and play with his human! An active human partner would be ideal. Kyle would love to go with you on outings, jogs, camping, hiking, swimming — you name it! This guy will put a smile on your face showing you how much fun he is every day! Kyle is 20 months old, fully vetted, neutered, and microchipped. Take him home!

Gilligan

Gilligan is a young boy who’s confused about where he belongs. He’s very calm and affectionate. He came to the shelter a little thin to the shelter so he guards his food. He needs proper meet and greets with adopter's dog. No cats for Gil. You have to see him in person to realize how handsome he is. Neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Give him a loving home!

Piper

Piper needs an immediate foster or adopter! She’s one year old. Spayed, fully vetted and microchipped.  She loves her toys and because her ribs were showing she’s protective of her food. She is well-behaved and good on leash. Older kids preferred due to her size. She’s not a happy camper sitting in boarding. She would be best in a home with no small dogs or cats. She would love to find a new home!
