The Aledo Ladycats swept Arlington Sam Houston on Friday, Sept. 25, winning with scores of 25-6, 25-7, 25-4.
During the first set, Aledo took a 13-2 lead into the first timeout. Afterwards, the Ladycats were on cruise control, outscoring the Texans 12-4 to end it.
The second set was no different, as Aledo started on a 19-4 run and surrendered only three more Sam Houston points the rest of the match. The Ladycats went on to win Set 3 by their largest margin of 21 points.
Outside hitter Kaelee Berkley led the Ladycats in kills with 10 and aces with seven. Setter Harper Harbuck finished with a team-high 18 assists, while libero Karsyn Evans led the team in digs with 16. Aledo as a team finished with five blocks.
The Aledo Ladycats completed a sweep over Arlington Lamar on Tuesday, Sept. 29, finishing with scores of 25-11, 25-5, 25-13.
Aledo has yet to lose a set in district play, finishing with a combined 21-0 score in seven matchess since Sept. 8.
Outside hitter Kaelee Berkley led Aledo with nine kills, while libero Karsyn Evans led the team with four aces. Evans also finished with 18 digs, a team-high for the match. Setter Harper Harbuck led the Ladycats with 24 assists, and the team finished with 14 blocks.
The Ladycats will take on Granbury in a home match Friday, Oct. 2.
