Lady Eagles win PC Championship

TCA duo take boys, girls individual titles

Led by Gracee Whiteaker, the Willow Park Trinity Christian Lady Eagles won the Parker County Cross Country Championship this past Saturday at Weatherford Disc Golf Course.

Whiteaker ran the 3,200-meter course in a time of 12 minutes, 41.22 seconds. She edged out teammate Emma Saadeh, whose time was 13:15.46.

The Eagles were led by Wilson Winchester, who clocked a time of 16:50.75 over the boys 5K course.

As a team, the Lady Eagles scored 28 points to easily top runner-up Saginaw Boswell with 49 points. In the boys division, the Eagles placed fifth as a team.

Two other Lady Eagles placed in the top 10, with Brooklyn Mathieson taking ninth with a time of 14:35.95 and Madison Clark finishing 10th in 14:46.51. Also, Megan King was 13th in 14:59.74 and Adalyn Endsley took 17th in 15:05.25, with Ellery Wright finishing 33rd.

Also for the Eagles, Lucas Smith was 25th, Marshall Hughes placed 40th, Michael Spillers was 41st, Luke Rodgers finished 43rd and Andrew Cowley was 47th.

Among middle school runners, Henry Reynolds was eighth for the Eagles with a time of 12:22.78 over the 3,200-meter course. 

Trinity Christian will compete in the Paschal Invitational Saturday in Fort Worth.
