The event ran annually up until the COVID-19 Pandemic, and school officials were happy to see its return this year.
Aledo ISD’s Mandy Overturff coordinated the event, which matched up Aledo High School students with the special needs students in a format that Overturff said may have been more rewarding for the high schoolers than for the special needs students.
