Posted

Fred Hammons has announced  his intention to seek the office of Parker County Pct. 4 Commissioner.

Hammons graduated from Burleson High School and has resided in Parker County almost 20 years.

He is educated and trained in law enforcement, public safety, project management, budgetary processes, public infrastructure construction, and Intergovernmental relations. His training has been from Texas A&M, TCC, and Texas Tech.

“I will be the ‘hands on’ commissioner that puts the community first,” Hammons said. “There will be no favorites or special favors. I will strive to make this office available to you in accordance to your request.

“I have not been ‘groomed by the county, I’m not a local business owner (that would put this office second) and I’m not using this position to gain experience to enhance my personal agenda outside of Parker County.”

Hammons said if elected he will donate a percentage of his salary back to Parker County.

“Under my leadership, this office will accountable to you,” he said. “This office will return your calls (even after hours, if need be) and I will meet you at midnight if needed. I am not asking for fund raisers to obtain money to run for this office, this office is an elected office and should not be bought.”

Hammons also said he would strive implement a courtesy patrol program for Parker County.
