The Lady Coyotes lost 109-75, while the men’s team fell 65-50.
In the women’s game, WC started strong, holding a 23-21 lead at the end of the first quarter. However, Collin responded in the second period to take a 44-35 halftime lead and pulled away in the second half to seal the victory.
Natalia Arseniadou and Anja Djukic led the Lady Coyotes with 12 points each. Djukic also dished out a team-high seven assists. Maiya Wesley and Rileigh Hairston added 11 points apiece. Collin’s Gabby Morales led all scorers with 34 points.
In the men’s game, the Coyotes faced a 31-20 deficit at halftime. Weatherford played Collin nearly even in the second half but could not overcome the early gap, falling 65-50.
Daunte Smith led the Coyotes with 20 points.
