Castillo, Dowling win gold

The Weatherford Relays were held on Thursday, Feb. 29 at Kangaroo Stadium. Rain forced the cancellation of numerous events.

Among the varsity girls, Rayla Castillo won a gold medal in the 1600-meter run. She clocked a time of 5 minutes, 30.57 seconds, edging teammate Remington Boone at 5:30.74.

Leading the boys results, Asa Dowling took gold in the 110 hurdles. He posted a time of 16.08 seconds.
