Carlos Hernán Jiménez, 62, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother passed away surrounded by his family on March 7, 2022.

Carlos was born in Colombia on December 1, 1959. In 1969 his family moved to Fort Worth where he grew up. Carlos graduated from R. L. Paschal High School in 1977, and he received a BA in Radio-TV-Film at the University of North Texas in 1982. In 1993 he graduated from La Facultad de Medicina of La Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas as a doctor with a degree in General Medicine. While in Mexico he met his wife of 27 years, Norma.

Carlos’ favorite pastime was spending time with his family and friends while going out to eat and watching sports; and he truly enjoyed playing with his beloved grandson Malachi. He was most proud of his two children, Michelle and Carlos Andrés.

Throughout his entire life, there were three things Carlos plainly expressed with great joy to all he met: his belief in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, his awesome sense of humor, and his extensive knowledge of medicine.

Carlos was preceded in death by his father Alfonso. He is survived by his wife Norma, daughter Michelle, son Carlos Andrés, grandson Malachi, mother Doris, sister Doris, sister Olga and husband Anthony, sister Martha and husband Pedro, many nieces, nephews, other extended family, and friends.

The service to celebrate Carlos’ life was held March 19, 2022 at Greenwood cemetery in Fort Worth.

Carlos never knew a stranger. His outgoing personality and fun sense of humor will be remembered by all who knew him.
