The Trinity Christian Academy Lady Eagles’ basketball season came to an end on Feb. 20 with a 46-18 loss to Fort Worth Lake Country Christian in the third round of the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools Class 4A playoffs.
TCA finished the season with a 22-13 record.
Senior Emily Ickert became the all-time scoring leader at TCA, totaling 2,940 points in her career and posting a 28.6 points per game average this season.
“This season is one that will stick out in my mind when I think about my career. Playing with only seven players can be a huge challenge because of practice limitations, foul trouble, injuries, and etc. It stretched me as a coach,” Lady Eagles coach Garrett Hilton said. “I think in just about everyone’s eyes we exceeded expectations. The girls did an amazing job of improving throughout the season and that was because of their work ethic, coachability, and commitment. We are losing three key players, but I look forward to what we have coming back.”
