The Annetta Auction & Bingo Ladies Night is an annual event hosted by the Annetta Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) Special Auction Bingo Committee. Erin Corpening, auction and bingo chair, started the event three years ago with the goal to “raise money, but also just to connect the families and moms in our school because we are a newer school…so I really wanted something to just be able to connect with…the families and staff and moms of the school where we usually don’t get to really sit down and spend time together, I think that’s what makes it really special.”
The event this year, held on Feb. 6 at the Doss Heritage and Culture Center in Weatherford, focused on raising money for students and teacher needs, which include a rock climbing wall in the gym, turf for the playground, and art stands to display student work around the school.
The auction has grown every year according to Corpening and maintains the same goal of connection and school fundraising.
