Aledo teams shine with boys team championship and multiple girls medalists

The Aledo High School Wrestling program turned in a strong performance at their recent tournament, with the boys’ team earning 1st place overall and several girls posting standout finishes.

On the girls’ side, Grace Beasley led the way by capturing the championship at 105 pounds, winning four straight matches including a dominant major-decision victory in the finals. Lillian Carruthers battled her way through the 100-pound bracket to finish 4th overall, picking up multiple wins by fall along the way. Milena Prole also reached the podium, placing 3rd at 110 pounds after securing two pins in the consolation rounds.

Also competing for the Ladycats were Joy Stephens (120), Leora Wiggins (130), and Madison Elliott (155), each contributing valuable team points and advancing through their brackets.

Bearcat boys capture team title

Aledo’s boys squad claimed the team championship behind strong depth and multiple podium performances.

At 126 pounds, Charles Anderson brought home an individual championship title, wrestling through the bracket with dominant performances and sealing the win in the finals. Brady Powell added another gold medal at 190 pounds, winning all of his matches by fall.

The Bearcats also earned several top-three finishes, including runner-up performances from Cameron Robbins (113) and Brice Bohn (138), and a third-place finish from Dylan Chandler at 120. Cade Rangel added another podium finish after battling back to place 3rd at 215 going 5 and 1, while Cam Becera finished 4th.

Strong efforts across the roster helped secure the overall team victory, with contributions from wrestlers in nearly every weight class.
