Aledo runners honored

Several runners from the Aledo Ladycats and Bearcats were honored recently by various associations across Texas.

Named all-state by the Cross Country Coaches Association of Texas (CCCAT) were Ladycats Molly Garrison and Micah Neal. They were both named all-state by the Texas Girls Coaches Association, along with Madison Larsen.

A trio of runners were named academic all-state by both the Texas High School Association and CCCAT, Aubrey Connally, Vincent Luffey and Caden West.

The Ladycats and Bearcats both advanced as teams to the state meet this past season. The Ladycats finished second, the highest finish ever for an Aledo squad, while the Bearcats were 10th.
