Aledo Orange defeats Brewer 42-0

The Aledo JV Orange football team traveled to Brewer to take on the Bears in the last game of the year on Nov. 3.

The Bearcats took the opening drive and got on the scoreboard early. Gavin Beard found Cayden Hix for a 12-yard touchdown. Blake Burdine and Cayden Callaway had outstanding blocks to set up the score.

On the Bearcats’ first defensive drive, they forced a three-and-out. The Bears tried to establish the run game early, but Aledo’s defensive line, led by Decker Sanders, Thaddeus Keller, Porter Lane, and Jaxon Richter proved too much for Brewer.

The Bearcats would score on the following five drives with a balanced offensive attack. Kayden McCown and Ethan Hodo each had rushing touchdowns. 

Cayden Hix found the end zone twice, and Cayden Callaway added a score, all three on passes from Gavin Beard.

The Bearcats’ defense dominated in the first half, not giving up a point and setting up the offense with excellent field position the entire half.

The Bearcats took a commanding 42-0 lead at the half and never look back.  

The Bearcats JV Orange finished their season with an undefeated 10-0 record.  Their last loss was in the 2015 season.

Key Offensive Players were Chris Gomez, Cody Cartwright, Gavin Beard, and Cayden Hix.

Key Defensive Players were Thaddeus Keller, Jaxon Richter, Decker Sanders, and Cory Tilley.

Coaches thanked the parents for their support during the season, and thanked the players for their hard work in making the season a success.
