Two members of the Aledo Ladycats have been named to the 2022 Texas Girls Coaches Association Class 5A All-State Cross Country Team. Honored were freshmen Elizabeth Griffin and Molly Garrison.
The duo were key in helping the Ladycats advance as a team to the 5A State Cross Country Meet. Griffin placed 21st state and Garrison placed 41st.
Garrison also won the District 5-5A Meet, leading the Ladycats to the team title as well, and was second in the Region I Meet. Griffin was third in the District 5-5A Meet and 13th at the Region I Meet.
“Congratulations to these two amazing athletes and their accomplishments during the cross country season this year,” said Aledo cross country coach Mike Pinkerton.
