Every entry for Aledo won at least one match on the first day, with 13 of 16 players qualifying for play on the second day of the tournament by making it to the championship match or the third-place match. The top two finishers in each event advanced to the 5A Region I Tournament April 17-18 at the McLeod Tennis Center in Lubbock.
From there the top three finishers in each event will move on to the 5A State Tournament May 7-8 in San Antonio.

On the second day, Aledo players won all but one match against an opponent other than their own teammates. They had at least one entry in every final and played each other in two of the finals.
“Needless to say, both the boys and girls won the district championship collectively,” head coach Joe McCoy noted. “I am so proud of our team. Our players have worked very hard on their game. We scheduled some tough tournaments this spring season to challenge our team both physically and mentally.
“I was very pleased with how we handled the pressure of the moment and the adversities we faced throughout the district tournament. Our players overcame mental obstacles and performed at a very high level.
“Our entire team handled themselves very professionally, with class in their victories and in their losses. I am very fortunate to work with such great people every day and lead them to another district championship.”
