Aledo distance runners turn in strong performance at Texas A&M Invitational

The Aledo Bearcats and Lady Cats finished third and ninth, respectively, Friday, Sept. 11, in the Texas A&M Invitational at the Watts Cross Country Course in College Station.

Strong finishes, their coach said, considering both teams were competing without one of their top runners.

Holland Gladchuk finished in ninth place with a time of 18 minutes, 52.4 seconds, good for the top Lady Cats finish. On the boys side, Thatcher Petit finished in 15th place, good for the highest of the team with a time of 16:17.8.

Aledo’s next meet will be in Round Rock for the HOKA NcNeil Invitational on Sept. 19.
