The Aledo varsity tennis team competed in a tournament hosted by Birdville ISD on Friday, Feb. 10. Temperatures in the 40s and skilled competition led to a challenging tournament, but a great effort was made by all team members.
Paige Federman and Elli Kate Bussmeir took third place in girls A doubles, and the boys A doubles pair of Francois Britz and Ibrahim Choudhry won the consolation bracket. The mixed doubles pair of Bryanna Orr and Scott Mason placed fourth, and the boys doubles pair of Hogan Posey and Craig Mason placed fifth.
The team was competing in the Keller Timber Creek tournament at press time. They will play in the Cowtown Classic Feb. 24-25.
