Aledo Baseball Booster Club president Christa Loos invites the public to join in the celebration, which kicks off with the monument unveiling at 6:30 p.m., followed by the first pitch at 7 p.m.
“This monument stands as a lasting tribute to an extraordinary season and the young men who represented Bearcat Baseball with pride, grit, and excellence,” Loos said. “It honors the 2025 State Championship team and reflects the unwavering support of their families and the community that stood behind them every step of the way.”
The monument, built by Davy Vestal Memorials, will stand next to the 2014 state title monument at the Bearcat Ballpark at Aledo High School. “They will forever be remembered for what they were able to accomplish as a team on the field,” said Chad Barry, Aledo Bearcat Baseball head coach. He said the goal this year is to duplicate what the 2025 team accomplished.
“We’ve gotten off to a really good start,” Barry said. “I think right now they have a pretty good focus as a team. As long as we continue that focus and keep playing at the level of baseball that we’ve been playing at lately, I think we’re going to have a really good shot to make a run at it.” The 2026 Aledo Bearcat Baseball team’s record sits at 11-1 in two recent tournaments—Jag Metals Classic (5-1) and PBR Invitational (6-0).
In the 2025 State Championship, Lucas Nawrocki, pitcher/outfield and Louisiana State University commit, went 4-4 and was named MVP of the game. “Everyone understands the standard that was set from last year. We come into practice every day with the mindset and work ethic to exceed that standard,” Nawrocki said. “My goal this season is to help lead Aledo back to another State Championship game. I want to continue to be better every day for my teammates and be a leader for our guys in pursuit of another title.”
The monument was made possible through the generosity of the Aledo Baseball Booster Club, 2025 player families, and local supporters.
