Fifteen members of the Aledo fall team tennis program, along with the coach, were honored recently as part of the All-District 5-5A Team Tennis accolades.
Elli Kate Bussmeir was named Co-Newcomer of the Year by the league’s coaches, while Joe McCoy was chosen as coach of the year after leading Aledo to the district championship and the second round of the postseason.
In all, eight girls and seven boys were honored. Other awards went to:
Boys doubles - line 1, second team, Ian Leslie/Hogan Posey; line 2, second team, Ben Farmer/Craig Mason; line 3, second team, Jacob Heckathorn/Francois Britz.
Mixed doubles - first team, Scott Mason/Eleanor Jack.
Boys singles - line 1, second team, Leslie; line 2, first team, S. Mason; line 3, first team, Posey; line 4, first team, Farmer; line 5, first team, C. Mason; line 6, first team, Heckathorn.
Girls doubles - line 1, second team, Kenley Germany/Bryanna Orr; line 2, first team, Elli Kate Bussmeir/Paige Federman; line 3, first team, Natalie Nawrocki/Patrice Loftin.
Girls singles - line 1, second team, Orr; line 2, first team, Bussmeir; line 3, second team, Germany; line 4, first team, Federman; line 5, honorable mention, Jack; line 6, first team, Gracie Heydman.
