No. 10 Ladycats sweep Saginaw to clinch co-District 6-5A championship

Aledo senior setter Erin Weiss sets up a hitter for one of her match-high 41 assists Tuesday night during the Ladycats' sweep of Saginaw. The win in the league finale gives the Ladycats a share of the District 6-5A title with Boswell.

Three Aledo hitters finished with double digits in kills to lead the state-ranked No. 10 Ladycats to a convincing 25-14, 25-11, 25-17 victory over Saginaw in the District 6-5A volleyball finale Tuesday night at Saginaw.

The win, coupled with Boswell’s win over Eaton, gives the Ladycats (35-8) and No. 12 Boswell identical 13-1 records. Since the two teams split a pair of games the Ladycats and Lady Pioneers will share the 6-5A title.
