Trinity Christian Academy unveils new theme for the 2023-24 school year

What is happening at TCA for the 2023-24 School Year? 

“God has brought us about 560 students. We have an $8 million dollar budget, and we have 110 full and part-time employees,” said TCA Marketing Coordinator Denise Hobbs. “We are blessed to have 90 acres, with 83 across Bankhead. 2024 will start our 31st year in providing Christian education. It is a testimony to God’s blessings as the school has grown from just 10 students in 1993. We still have some secondary openings for students and we are still enrolling.”

Hobbs said the theme for this school year will be “Take the Next Step” which builds on last year’s theme of “Live His Story.”

“As we look at what we will be doing this year, it’s important that we not only live His story but also that we take the next step in that story. For each of us, that may look a little different, but our verses to go with this theme offer us an explanation of what that looks like for all of us. Colossians 2:6-7 says: ‘Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.’” Hobbs said.

Hobbs said an exciting initiative this school year is Teaching for Transformation, or TfT. 

“This is a multi-year professional development program that will invite and empower our teachers and students to play their part in God’s Story through their everyday learning,” Hobbs said. “Our elementary team is ready for students! We are so excited about the depth of experience of our teachers, a special emphasis on Biblical integration, and a team spirit to support all students socially and emotionally.”

TCA Secondary is excited to roll out its new small group student mentoring program along with its house system for Junior and High School. 

“These two programs combined will help to even further improve our excellent school culture,” Hobbs said.

Football season is also here! The Eagles will host the first official game of the season at 7 p.m. on Aug 24 against Temple Christian.
