Aledo ISD Back to School 2023

Posted

The excitement that is the first day of school never dulls for me. This year, Aledo ISD will move over the 8,000-student threshold for the first time in our district’s history. To me, yes, that’s rapid growth; we had less than 6,000 students in Aledo ISD when I started in 2018. But it’s also an opportunity to inspire excellence in that many more students in our school district.

To our newest Bearcats: being a part of this community is special. It’s hard to explain, but I’ll try to sum it up in two simple words: All In.

Whether you’re new to the district or you’ve been here a long time, in partnership with our parents and community, we come together to meet the needs of our students and give 100% while doing it. We have a multitude of opportunities for students to find what they’re passionate about, we have high levels of learning and exceptional experiences provided by the best staff in the state, and we’re surrounded by a connected community that supports our students, staff, and their schools in all ways.

All in Aledo means that we are all in this together and all for the betterment of our students, staff, and community. We are so grateful to have parents and community members on our campuses every day volunteering, mentoring, serving on committees, and so much more. You are an integral part of our everyday success!

All in Aledo means that, no matter what your student is interested in, we have a multitude of opportunities where ALL of our students can find what they are passionate about. It is my hope daily that our students feel like they belong and are connected to our schools and community.

And All in Aledo means we’re ALL IN - we’re 100% prepared and give 100% effort! We’re ALL IN on being successful and representing ourselves and our community to the best of our ability.

I’d love for you all to be ALL IN Aledo with me as we walk through another school year in partnership for our students and staff. We are so fortunate to be Bearcats. Let’s go make this our best year yet!

We want to make sure you’re informed and know all of the exciting things going on in our district, so please - especially if you aren’t a parent already receiving regular communication from Aledo ISD - fill out the form at https://bit.ly/BeIntheKnowAledoISD to be added to our email and newsletter distribution list.

Have a great year, Bearcats!

Dr. Susan Bohn is the Aledo ISD Superintendent
