A professional food manager certification training course will be offered at 8:30 a.m. Monday, March 30, at the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service Center, 604 North Main in Weatherford. The course will conclude with the ServSafe Exam.
The fee will be $115, and preregistration is due March 23, 2020. To register call 817-598-6168.
The fee includes training, materials and a national food manager certification examination. The Texas Department of State Health Services requires each food establishment to have one certified food manager employed. The food manager’s certification will be valid anywhere in the state of Texas for five years.

Cooking and Living Well with Diabetes classes will take place for three evenings, March 31, April 14 and 21 at the Parker County Extension office, 604 North Main Street in Weatherford. The classes will be held from 6-8 p.m. and will include information on living with diabetes and tips for healthy eating and food preparation.
Participants who complete the class will take home a recipe book and packet of information to help them plan healthy diabetic-friendly meals. To attend the class the cost is $20.00 per person or $30.00 for a couple.
