TCA track and field state results

Eagles bring home two gold medals

The track and field teams at Trinity Christian Academy in Willow Park sent 12 athletes to compete in the Texas Association of Private and Parochial School  state track meet in Waco on the weekend of May 6-7. 

Women

Amberlie Daniels, Libby Tovar, McKenna Kelley and Sophie Scott combined to run the women's 4x100 relay where the finished fourth with a time of 52.26.

The girls also ran the 4x400 and completed it with a time of 4:20.65 for fourth place.

Scott ran in the women's 200m dash and posted a time of 27.75 for sixth place, and came in fifth in the long jump

Gracee Whitaker placed fifth in the women's 800m, posting a time of 2:30.92. She also finished eighth in the 1600 at 6:08.03.

Tovar finished seventh in the 100m dash with a time of 13.03. 

In the field, Ella Cockrum and came in fourth in the discuss throw.

Men

The men's 4x100 relay saw a similar resultas the women's as Geroge Brenner, Hudson Quinn, Kennan Dowling and Reece Hargrove ran a time of 43.83, finishing fourth.

Keenan Dowling won the first medal for Trinity, winning the 110m hurdles with a time of 15.32. Asa Dowling also ran in the event and finished with a time of 16.92 for sixth place.

After taking gold in the 110m hurdles, Keenan Dowling got silver in the 300m hurdles with a time of 41.30.

Hargrove ran the 100m dash and posted a time of 11.30 for sixth place.

Ben Camp brought home a gold medal in the discuss throw by throwing 128'9". He also finished sixth in the shot put.
