Student-athletes named to LSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll at Angelo State University

Nearly 170 Angelo State University student-athletes have been listed on the Lone Star Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll for their academic performance in the 2025 spring semester.

To be eligible, student-athletes must have a minimum 3.30 grade-point average for the semester and be on the institution’s sports roster. Participants in all 19 LSC champiASU’s 169 honorees are the fourth-most in the conference, and ASU had 75 student-athletes post a perfect 4.0 GPA for the spring semester.

Ashley Carlisle honored as Who’s Who at the University of Mississippi

Ashley Carlisle of Aledo, pursuing a B.A. in Biological Science, was recognized in the 2024-25 class of Who’s Who Among Students at the University of Mississippi.

 

Bethany Smith inducted into Hiram College J.J. Turner Honor Society

Bethany Smith of Weatherford was recently inducted into the Hiram College J.J. Turner Honor Society.

Hiram College recently inducted the 2025 class of J.J. Turner Society scholars. The J.J. Turner Society is named in honor of James Jesse Turner, professor of Biology, 1904-1950, who was a thorough biologist and a versatile teacher. Professor Turner helped establish the national reputation of Hiram College for excellence in the sciences.

Membership in the J.J. Turner Society is granted to all graduates of Hiram College who majored or minored in biology or who have gone on to advanced study and/or careers in the biological sciences and medicine.

 

Tinsley named to Iowa State University’s fall 2024 dean’s list

More than 11,500 Iowa State University students have been recognized for outstanding academic achievement by being named to the fall semester 2024 dean’s list. Students named to the dean’s list must earn a grade point average of at least 3.50 on a 4.00 scale while carrying a minimum of 12 credit hours of graded course work.

 Saige Tinsley of Aledo, First Year, Athletic Training Undergraduate Pre-Major was among the students on the dean’s list.

 

Fiorenzi named to LeTourneau University’s Spring 2025 President’s List

Mechanical Engineering major Taylor Fiorenzi of Aledo was named to the Spring 2025 President’s List at LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas. The President’s List recognizes students who have achieved a perfect 4.0 grade point average for the semester to receive this honor.
