James Edward Harrington

James Edward Harrington, age 86, died Tuesday, November 15, 2016 in Weatherford. James was born September 21, 1930 in Weatherford to Raymond and Gertie Sharp Harrington. He was a retired dairy farmer, president and trustee for the Annetta Cemetery Association, and a faithful member of Victory Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon, and chairman of the deacons. James was a graduate of Aledo High School and played running back on the first Bearcat football team in 1946. James is survived by his wife, Betty Harrington of Weatherford, daughter, Vivian Minnix and husband Jack of Weatherford, sons, Kenneth Harrington and wife Beth of Weatherford, Larry Harrington and wife Janice of Brock, sister, Joy Dell Prater of Arlington, brother, Joe Don Harrington of Weatherford, grandchildren, Stephanie Woods, Coley Minnix, Krissy Dickerson, Kayla Vallejo, Les Branson, Eric Branson, Kyle Branson and Jacob Harrington and 18 great grandchildren. The funeral was scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, November 19 at Victory Baptist church.
