Aledo juniors Kaydon Finley, a wide receiver, and running back Raycine Guillory have been selected by Dave Campbell’s Texas Football magazine among the publication’s Texas Top 100, the best in the class of 2026. The duo were instrumental in the Bearcats finishing 12-2 and advancing to the Class 5A Division I state quarterfinals and both posted career-best seasons in 2024.
Guillory was named the District 5-5A Most Valuable Player as the Bearcats won the league title with an 8-0 record, running their national-record district winning streak to 127 games dating to 2007.
Guillory carried the ball 175 times for 1,322 yards and scored 25 rushing touchdowns. He averaged 7.6 yards per carry and his long run was 76 yards.
Guillory had a career night in a 49-42 overtime victory against Richland at Tim Buchanan Stadium. He rushed 34 times for 244 yards and five touchdowns, along with catching two passes for 35 yards, including a 30-yard touchdown.
Along with his rushing success, Guillory also caught 13 passes for 180 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Ironically, Guillory will not actually be a part of the class of 2026 as he has decided to graduate early. He signed a letter-of-intent with the University of Utah in December.
In two seasons with Aledo, Guillory accumulated over 2,900 yards of offense and scored 48 touchdowns. He moved to Aledo following his freshman season at Mansfield Lake Ridge.
At Lake Ridge, Guillory led the team in total yardage and touchdowns. He rushed for 769 yards and nine TD, along with catching passes for 154 yards and three scores.
He immediately made an impression at Aledo as a sophomore, rushing for 1,236 yards and 17 touchdowns, while collecting 175 receiving yards and four TD. All this while missing several games - including the final two and a half playoff games with a knee injury.
Finley, a wide receiver, caught 81 passes for 1,429 yards and 21 touchdowns. He was targeted 115 times and had just four drops.
Finley’s longest catch of the season was a 92-yard touchdown. He averaged almost 18 yards per catch.
Finley, whose father is former Green Bay Packers tight end Jermichael Finley, also earned first-team All-District 5-5A accolades. In his three seasons on the Bearcats varsity, Finley has caught 146 passes for 2,448 yards and 33 touchdowns.
In Finley’s three varsity seasons the Bearcats are 42-4 with two state championships (2022, 2023). They also won 30 consecutive games in those two title campaigns, the second longest win streak in program history, surpassed only by 31 straight during the 2016 and 2017 seasons.
