Aledo High School will host a basketball doubleheader and a girls’ soccer match as District 6-5A action continues today in both sports.
The third-place Ladycats basketball team will be looking to move up the district standings when they host second-place Northwest at 6 p.m. at the Aledo High School gym. An Aledo win would leave both teams tied for second place with one district game remaining.
The Bearcats are tied for the fourth and final playoff spot and are hoping to get back in the win column when they host Northwest. Tipoff is at 7:30 p.m. at the AHS gym.
The Ladycats soccer team, 2-1 in district play, will host Azle (1-1-1) in 6-5A action at 7:30 p.m. at Bearcat Stadium.
The Bearcats soccer team, tied for first place with a 3-0 league record, will travel to Azle with a 7:30 p.m. start at Hornet Stadium.
The AHS tennis team will also be in action all day today at the Arlington High School tournament.
