Clay Shoot Dinner and Casino Night
The Business Development Group of Aledo will host its 13th annual Clay Shoot to benefit Parker County youth organizations on March 4-5.
All shooters receive an admission to the Dinner and Casino Night at the Athletic Performance Ranch, 1590 FM 2871 between Aledo and Benbrook. The cocktail reception begins at 6, dinner and live auction run from 7-9 p.m., and casino games run from 9-12.
Shooting will be at Defenders Outdoor Clay Sports Ranch, 8270 Aledo Road in Fort Worth. The youth shoot begins at 9 a.m. and the adult shoot begins at 1 p.m.
Registration for individual shooters is $250, and teams of five shooters are $1,250. Sponsorships begin at $1,500.

The U.S. Army Field Band & Soldiers’ Chorus will present a free concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, at Bass Hall, 525 Commerce St. in Fort Worth.
The U.S. Army Field Band presents "America the Beautiful," a celebration of all there is to love about our nation. Take in unparalleled natural landscapes and meet the warm and welcoming people on a musical and visual journey across our country.
The performance honors the veterans of every generation who answered the call to defend this country, and recognizes the Soldiers standing guard today in more than 140 countries around the work who are proud to call America "home."

Parker County Walk Across Texas
The Texas A&M Agrilife Extension Service invites participants to Walk Across Texas from March 21 to May 15.
Walk Across Texas is an eight-week program to help people of all ages support one another to establish the habit of regular physical activity.
To sign up a team, visit https://howdyhealth.org/programs. There is a video for both youth and adult. This year there are two options: you can sign up your team on the Parker County League or under teams. The league code is: WatL-220303-87744. The League option will allow you to compare your mileage with other teams in Parker County.

The Annual Trinity Christian Athletic Booster Clay Shoot will be Saturday, March 26 at Defenders Outdoor Clay Sports Ranch, 8270 Aledo Road in Benbrook.
Registration will open at 8:30 a.m.. There will be a safety briefing at 9:30 a.m. and shooting will begin at 9:45 a.m.
Lunch will be provided, and there will be a chance to purchase tickets to win a $3,100-value fishing trip.
Cost is $500 for a team of four shooters or $125 for individuals. Ammo is not provided but will be for sale at the site. Shooters younger than 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

The Aledo AdvoCats Will host their 16th annual Run Walk or Crawl at 7:45 p.m. on Saturday, March 26, at Bearcat Stadium.
In recent years the event has been a nighttime glow run, characterized as a nighttime fun run in the heart of Aledo that raises money for a great cause.
Participants can enter the 1K, 5K, or both, beginning and ending at the Aledo High School track.
Since its inception in 2006, the Run, Walk or Crawl has become the flagship annual fundraising event for AdvoCats. Choosing to support Aledo Children’s AdvoCats means your money stays right here in our community and provides vital services that directly benefit children and families in the communities of Aledo ISD.
Gates open at 7 p.m. The opening ceremony will be at 7:45 p.m. The 1K begins at 8 p.m. and the 5K is at 8:30 p.m.
The fee to enter the 1K is $25 and the fee for the 5K is $30. Virtual runners can enter for $20.

Chemical Imbalance: A Jekyll and Hyde Play”
The Weatherford College theatre department will present “Chemical Imbalance: A Jekyll and Hyde Play” March 30 through April 2 in the Alkek Fine Arts Center.
Showtime is 7:30 p.m. each day with doors opening at 7 p.m. Admission is free.
The performance is a comic retelling of the classic story by Robert Louis Stevenson. The play explores the duality of human nature as well as the glaring ineffectuality of the Victorian English in their determination to maintain the status quo. As Dr. Jekyll's family tries to marry him off to an eligible young lady, he wreaks havoc both on London and his household.

Annetta Clean-Up and Beautification Day
Annetta Clean-Up and Beautification Day
The Town of Annetta will host a Community Clean-Up and Beautification Day from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, April 2.
Volunteers will meet at Town Hall at 9 a.m. and will pick up trash on city streets. Household debris, old appliances, tires, and hazardous materials will not be collected.
Anyone interested in participating should call 817-441-5770 or send an email to . The city will provide safety vests and all bagged trash can be brought to Town Hall. After the clean-up, Annetta will provide lunch at Town Hall for the volunteers.

Bearcat Big Bass Fishing Tournament
The Aledo High School Class of 2024 Project Celebration will hold the Bearcat Big Bass Fishing Tournament on Saturday, April 2, in Rough Creek Park at the Lake Granbury Marina. Launch will be at safe light and weigh-in will be at 2 p.m.
Payouts will go to the top three stringers. In addition to the tournament, there will be a raffle, games, entertainment, and kids’ casting from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Entry fee is $100 per two-person team. In addition, sponsorships are available from $100 to $5,000.
