Seeking to get back to the regional tournament for the first time in two years, the state-ranked No. 14 Aledo Ladycats will begin the girls' Class 5A basketball playoffs against Denton Ryan in a bi-district contest.
Tip off is at 6:30 p.m. today at Keller Central High School.
The No. 14 Ladycats are the second seed from District 6-5A and bring a 28-4 record into the contest. Denton Ryan is the third seed from District 5-5A with a 14-17 record.
The winner of the game will advance to the area playoffs and face the winner of today's Fort Worth Trimble Tech/Richland game.
