Morris earns silver medal for second-place finish in boys' 3,200-meter run at 5A state track meet

Aledo freshman Graydon Morris finished with a time of 9:21.02 to place second in the boy' 3,200-meter run Thursday night at the Class 5A state track meet in Austin on the first day of the two-day meet.

Aledo had two pole vaulters competing Thursday night. Ladycats sophomore Sierra White placed fifth in girls' pole vault with a mark of 11 feet, six inches, and Bearcat junior Ryan Brown had a mark of 14 feet to place sixth in boys' pole vault.

On Friday, Ladycats freshman Gracie Morris will run in the girls' 800- and 1,600-meter runs, and Bearcat senior Harrison Tillman will compete in the boys' 1,600-meter run.
