Ladycats, in five-way tie for first place, continue District 6-5A softball action today at Eaton

Coming off consecutive home wins that put the team in a five-way tie for first place, the Aledo Ladycats will continue District 6-5A softball action today at Eaton High School.

The junior varsity game will begin at 4:30 p.m. followed by the varsity contest at 6:30 p.m.

The Ladycats defeated Saginaw on Friday and earned a 5-3 come-from-behind win over Azle on Monday.

Junior left fielder Lindsey McElroy has the hot bat of late for the Ladycats as she hit a solo home run in each of the home wins.

Eaton won its first two district games before falling 6-5 to Chisholm Trail on Monday.

The game will pit a pair of 2-1 teams and will help unscramble a portion of the top of the 6-5A standings.
