Bearcats, Ladycats each secure District 6-5A soccer championships with wins over Northwest

Both the Aledo Ladycats and Bearcats soccer teams clinched their respective District 6-5A soccer championships today against Northwest.

The Bearcats earned the point they needed for an outright district title when their match went into overtime at Bearcat Stadium. The 'Cats won the overtime shootout, 4-2, in a match that was tied 2-2 after regulation play.

The Ladycats won 2-0 and clinched the district championship at Northwest on a goal each from Peyton Laughley and Cameron Huddleston, with Cheney Huddleston earning the assist on Cameron's goal.
