Threat at Aledo High School "unsubstantiated," according to administration

Posted

From Aledo ISD Superintendent Dr. Derek Citty:

This afternoon at 3:53, immediately before AHS/Daniel 9GC dismissal, administration received an unsubstantiated threat directed to AHS.  All staff and students were evacuated, a search was conducted by the AISD police department, with no evidence of a threat found.

All students and staff remaining on campus were released back into the high school buildings at 4:24.

An investigation is ongoing regarding the threat.  Again, there is no evidence that the threat is legitimate.  Any information regarding this incident should be directed to Parker County Crime Stoppers, 817-599-5555 or at pccs.tips.

Students and staff were safe at all times, there were no reported injuries.  All activities have resumed as scheduled.
