Posted

On Thursday, May 5, 2016, at approximately 7:11 am, the Hudson Oaks Police Department was dispatched to a residence on Creighton Dr., in regards to a dog bite.

Upon arrival, the officers were informed that a young child had been attacked by the family dog. Officers observed that the young child had sustained numerous injuries on the head and throat area. There were two other individuals inside the home at the time of the attack who did not sustain any injuries.  Medical personnel (Lifecare) made the scene and transported the child to Cook’s Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth.

The dog has been described as a female Shar Pei mix, blue and white in color. It was further reported that the dog is wearing a blue or purple collar.

The Hudson Oaks Police Department and the Weatherford/Parker County Animal Control officers attempted to find and secure the dog, but were unable to locate it. Because the animal is still at large, the Hudson Oaks Police Department asks its citizens to not approach this animal if found and to contact the Hudson Oaks Police Department or Weatherford/Parker County Animal Control immediately.
