Springtown woman killed in two vehicle crash on FM 51

From the Texas Department of Public Safety:

Just after 6:00 PM, Texas Department of Public Safety troopers investigated a two vehicle fatality crash on FM 51 near Veal Station Road in Parker County. A 1997 Toyota passenger car was traveling north on FM 51 and attempted to pass the vehicle traveling in front of it.

The passenger car lost control on the wet road, spun to the right, and impacted the front of a southbound 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser.  The driver of  the Toyota passenger car, Angela Ruiz, 28, of Springtown, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the FJ Cruiser, Tabitha Post, 31, of Weatherford, was transported to Harris Hospital in Fort Worth with undisclosed injuries.  A three year old child passenger from the FJ Cruiser was transported to Cook Children's Hospital in Fort Worth, also with undisclosed injuries.
