Aledo pitcher Jacob Ashkinos threw a no-hitter and struck out 11 to lead the Bearcats to a 12-0 win over Everman Tuesday night in a District 8-5A game at Everman that was called on run rule in the fifth frame.
The win raises the Bearcats' district mark to 2-1, while Everman drops to 0-3.
Ashkinos allowed no runs on no hits with one walk in five innings.
The Bearcats were led at the plate by Hunter Rosson, who went two for three, including a double, with four runs batted in.
Also recording an extra-base hit were Griffin Benson and Nick Cheema, each with a triple. Cheema, who went three for four at the plate, also recorded a pair of RBI.
Benson went three for three at the plate and Logan Bridges swatted a pair of hits. Also, Cam Caldwell and Michael Alvarez each recorded two hits.
The Bearcats, who swatted 17 hits, scored a run in the opening frame, added four runs in the second, five in the third and two in the fourth.
The Bearcats will continue district play at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Crowley.
