The 10th Annual Garden Party benefiting the East Parker County Library will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 1 at the AJ Hood Pioneer Home, 1279 Jenkins Road in Aledo.

The East Parker County Library will register readers, young child through adult, for the Dig Into Reading summer program from May 21 to June 1 at the East Parker County Library. The summer program includes presentations, story hours, prize drawings and more. For more information, call the library at 817-441-6545.

The East Parker County Library will hold a book sale from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, June 28, in the library parking lot. Julie Bean’s ice cream truck will be on site. With enough registrants, the event will also include free mammograms. For more information, or to register for a mammogram, call the library at 817-441-6545.

Kristin Bryan, Aledo author of “Bearcats' Path to Victory,” will read to children at the 10:30 story time on Friday, Feb. 15 at the East Parker County Library. In addition, copies of her new book will be available for purchase and signing.

Giving Day: The East Parker County Library will receive matching funds from Donor Bridge Sept. 13, designated as North Texas Giving Day. On that day, from 7 a.m. until midnight, anyone can visit www.DonorBridgeTX.org and make a minimum $25 donation to the East Parker County Library. The library will receive a share of one million dollars set aside as matching funds for non-profit organizations. When visiting the site, search for East Parker County Library.
Anita Bond
Anita Bond, recipient of the "Never Give Up" Award, will have a birthday celebration at 6 p.m. on Thursday, August 2 at the East Parker County Library.
