The Parker County Republican Party will have a “Meet and Greet” Fundraiser for Jon Moffett, Candidate for County Commissioner, Precinct 1 on Tuesday, January 17 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Real Family Fellowship, 202 Pearson Lane in Azle. Parking is located in back of the Church. There will be refreshments. Checks can be made payable to Jon Moffett Campaign. Real Family Fellowship is in no way endorsing this campaign and is only providing rental of the facilities.
State Rep. Phil King will discuss the proposed Texas Constitutional Amendments at the next meeting of the Parker County Republican Party at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3 in the Alene Strain Room of Doss Student Center at Weatherford College.
The regular monthly meeting of the Parker County Republican Party will be October 6 at 7 p.m. in the Doss Student Center at Weatherford College. This month’s guest speaker will be Party Chair Steve Munisteri, a Texas attorney who has worked on more than 50 campaigns fro the party. Craig EstesState Senator Craig Estes (R-Wichita Falls) will speak to the Parker County Republican Party at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug 4 at the Doss Student Center, Alene Strain Room at Weatherford College. Estes’ district includes Parker County.
Members and guests of the Parker County Republican Party will receive an update on the 82nd Regular Session of the Texas Legislature presented by our own Representative Phil King of our 61st District. The meeting will be held Thursday, June 2 at 7 p.m. in the Alene Strain Room in Weatherford College Student Center.
He will give us a report on the successes and failures of legislation to come before this session. Issues such as
• Eminent Domain,
• Funding for Education,
• Balancing the budget to cover a shortfall is estimated at $27 billion over the next two fiscal years. This represents the difference between what Texas expects to collect in revenue over the two-year budget period and what it would cost to keep programs operating at current levels.
• Health and human services
The monthly meeting of the Parker County Republican Party is Thursday, May 5 at 7 pm at the Strain Community Room at Weatherford College. The program will be presented by County Chair Zan Prince with the assistance of videos from Dick Morris concerning America’s status in the political process and what we need to do to prepare for the 2012 election.
The purpose of the Local Party is to register, educate, and motivate Republican voters. Chairman Prince has served as the Parker County Republican Chair since 2004 and has volunteered for local, state, and national campaigns. Come find out how to share the values of the Conservative Movement and how to better utilize the time, talent and treasure that you devote to the cause.

Kay GrangerCongresswoman Kay Granger will be the featured speaker at the Parker County Republican Party’s annual Lincoln Day Dinner on April 2 at Colonial Country Club.
Granger is the Congresswoman for the 12th District of Texas. She is the only Republican woman from Texas to serve in the U.S. House of Representatives. She is the Chairwoman of the appropriations subcommittee on State-Foreign Operations for the 112th Congress. During the 110th Congress, she served as Vice Chair of the House Republican Conference. In that role, she acted as a spokesperson for the party.
