The top 5% of the sophomore, junior, and senior classes were honored May 3 evening at Weatherford High School at the 2011 Honors Banquet sponsored by PlainsCapital Bank.
At the end of the event, the top 10 graduating seniors were announced.

Don't miss the Blue Belles' 30th Annual Spring Show, "So You Think You Can Dance-Belles Tour 2011: SEASON 30," May 6-7 in the WHS Durant Auditorium beginning at 7 p.m. each evening.
Tickets are now on sale for $5 each from the WHS Main Office or from any Belle. Also, tickets may be purchased at the door for each night's performance for $7 each.
On Saturday night, the Forever Belles will perform where 30 years of Belles are coming back to re-visit and fellowship.
The Belles will be performing their nationally award-winning routines as well as featuring the seven Blue Belle squads, dance and social officers Highsteppers, Allstars, JV Jazz, and Belle soloists.
If you like to dance and perform you should see what Color Guard is all about.
Next year you’ll get to perform at all football games and parades, plus you’ll get to compete as a part of the Weatherford High School Roo Marching Band in the fall and then in the WHS Winter Guard in the spring. This year was a terrific and successful year for the Color Guard; you can be a part of this great sport next year!
Skills Camp will be held next week, Monday, May 9th through Wednesday, May 11th in the WHS Band Hall, 4:30 - 6:00 pm. There will be a parent meeting on Tuesday, May 10th at 6:15 pm. Auditions will be held Thursday, May 12th beginning at 4:30 pm in WHS Gym C.

Weatherford High School announced its Prom King and Queen for the 2010-11 school year during Saturday's WHS Senior Prom in the main gymnasium.

Weatherford FFA was proudly represented at the State FFA Judging contests April 21 at Tarleton State University in both the Dairy Foods and Range Evaluation contests. The State contest hosts the top-qualifying teams, showcasing the top students from its 81,000 members in the FFA student organization.

Weatherford's varsity softball team ended its regular season with a perfect 14-0 record in District 4-5A following Friday's 15-0 win over Arlington Sam Houston in just three innings. The group will now play Odessa High on April 29 in a one-game playoff at Cates Field in Snyder beginning at 8 p.m.

Weatherford’s Lady Roos’ junior varsity softball team claimed another tournament victory and continued its 20-game winning streak April 9 at Cowtown Classic in Fort Worth.
In the first game, Weatherford defeated Arlington Bowie, 14-0. In the semi-final contest, the Lady Roos beat an aggressive Western Hills, 4-2.
In the championship game, Weatherford jumped ahead of Richland in the fourth inning eventually winning the game, 10-1, claiming its back-to-back tournament title.
The junior varsity softball team is now 23-2 overall and 13-0 in district.
