SCU arrest five for drug charges

August 16, 2010 by Bailey Urban

Weatherford-Parker County Special Crimes Unit investigators conducted a search warrant which led to the arrest of five suspects in the 5000 block of Highway 199 in Springtown.

Parker County Sheriff Larry Fowler said the incident occurred Tuesday evening, where three women and two men were taken into custody.

SCU investigators said the homeowner/occupant was not present at the time they conducted a search warrant, which stemmed from a narcotics investigation at the residence. A male suspect, later identified as Jory King, attempted to flee from investigators on foot but was quickly apprehended just outside of the home after wrestling with officers, resisting arrest.
