Parker County Sheriff's Crime Report December 21, 2010

The following offenses were observed or reported to the Parker County Sheriff’s Office Friday, Dec. 17, through Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010.

• 200 block of Crockett Road, the complainant reported unknown suspect(s) entered the property and damaged a vehicle.

Criminal Trespass
• 129 Hogle Street, the complainant reported unknown suspect(s) entered the property without their consent.

Domestic violence
• 1400 block of Terry Drive, the complainant reported she and her spouse were engaged in a dispute. The suspect was arrested for violation of protective order.
• 400 block of Hilltop Meadows Court, the complainant reported a known suspect assaulted him during a dispute.
• 2700 block of Tin Top Road, the complainant reported her spouse assaulted her during a dispute.

The following offenses were observed or reported to the Parker County Sheriff’s Office Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2010.

Criminal mischief
• 100 block of Cedar Road, the complainant reported a known suspect entered the residence and damaged a window.
• 200 block of Old Agnes Road, the complainant reported unknown suspect(s) entered the property and damaged a fence.
• 8800 West Interstate 20, the complainant reported unknown suspect(s) threw glass items in the driveway, leaving broken glass.

Criminal trespass
• 1200 block of Oak Ridge Road, the complainant reported a known suspect entered the property uninvited.

The following offenses were observed or reported to the Parker County Sheriff’s Office Friday, Dec. 10, through Sunday, Dec. 12, 2010.

Burglary of a habitation
• 100 block of Ranch Hand, the complainant reported unknown suspect(s) entered the residence and stole a refrigerator, a dishwasher, a microwave and a stove.
• Gilbert Pit Road, the complainant reported unknown suspect(s) entered the residence and stole several handguns, rifles and ammunition.
• 6700 block of Zion Hill Road, the complainant reported unknown suspect(s) entered the residence and stole two televisions, an AC compressor, a clothes dryer and a refrigerator.

Sheriff’s Dept. investigating multiple thefts

AC units, copper wiring targeted

Parker County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Division is investigating multiple theft reports occurring over the last month.

Parker County Sheriff Larry Fowler said 24 incidents were reported involving thefts of air conditioning units and copper wire in the last 30 days.

“Copper prices have increased, therefore, increasing copper theft reports,” Fowler said.

Property owners and real estate agents reported the thefts have occurred mostly in abandoned or vacant residences, construction sites and rental/sale properties scattered throughout Parker County. Sheriff’s investigators said more than 20 cases of AC units and copper wiring thefts have been reported on the last several weeks.

Assault
• White Settlement Road, the complainant reported a known suspect assaulted her during a dispute.

Threat
• 129 Hogle Street, the complainant reported a known suspect threatened to assault him.

Burglary of a habitation
• 6800 block of Ice House Road, the complainant reported unknown suspect(s) entered the residence and stole a laptop computer.
• 3200 block of Annetta Centerpoint Road, the complainant reported unknown suspect(s) entered the residence and stole a television remote and laptop computer

Sheriff looking for leads in local burglary

The Parker County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Division is investigating a burglary of habitation call occurring Tuesday, Dec. 8.

Parker County Sheriff Larry Fowler said the incident was reported around 3 p.m. in the 100 block of Aledo Creeks Road in Aledo.

The occupant of the residence arrived home and told deputies the suspect(s) entered a rear door of the home and stole several watches, two high school rings, an undisclosed amount of currency, a 12-week-old Chihuahua puppy with its crate and a large amount of gold a diamond jewelry (necklaces, rings, earrings and bracelets) and costume jewelry valued at several thousand dollars along with three televisions and a laptop computer.

The following offenses were observed or reported to the Parker County Sheriff’s Office Monday, Dec. 6, 2010.

Criminal mischief
• 100 block of Brock Springs Trail, the complainant reported unknown suspect(s) entered the property and damaged two doors.
• 12600 block of FM 730, the complainant reported a known suspect entered the property and damaged a door. The suspect was arrested and charged with criminal mischief.

Theft of property
• 900 block of Ballard Road, the complainant reported unknown suspect(s) entered the property and stole a deer feeder, tent and a chair.

Crime of the Week

Parker County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Division is investigating a burglary of habitation call occurring Friday, Dec. 3, 2010.

Parker County Sheriff Larry Fowler said the incident was reported during daylight hours in the 300 block of Brown Creek Road in Weatherford.

The occupant of the residence on Mineral Wells Highway arrived home and told deputies the suspect(s) “ransacked” the home and stole numerous personal items including two televisions, a Wii, an XBOX, a Play Station, three laptop computers, a desktop computer, a wedding band set, a college ring, miscellaneous jewelry and jewelry boxes, a digital camera along with women’s clothing and shoes.

The occupant also reported the suspect(s) burglarized her storage building, taking bills and receipts.

Burglary of a habitation
200 block of Atwood Road, the complainant reported unknown suspect(s) entered the residence and stole a TV and left the home in disarray.
1100 block of New Highland Road, the complainant reported unknown suspect(s) entered the residence and stole copper wiring and damaged sheetrock and an electrical box.
1400 block of Finney Drive, the complainant reported unknown suspect(s) entered the residence and stole a refrigerator.

Burglary of a building
1800 block of Reese Lane, the complainant reported unknown suspect(s) entered the building and stole a TV and damaged a padlock.

Leads sought in local burglary

Parker County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Division is investigating a convenience store burglary which occurred early Thursday morning.

Parker County Sheriff Larry Fowler said deputies responded to the call just before 1 a.m. in the 13100 block of White Settlement Road in Parker County. The suspects forcefully entered the store by shattering a front window, display cases, stole several thousand dollars worth of cigarettes and other tobacco products and damaging the building.
